IAP Classes

IAP

IAP is MIT’s Independent Activities Period. This IAP, ESP ran three classes targeted at members of the MIT community interested in learning more about teaching or about running an educational outreach program.

The classes were open to the anyone who was interested; Prospective ESP teachers or administrators were encouraged, but by no means required, to attend classes relevant to their interests. Material presented were broadly applicable to any teaching context, not just ESP programs.

The three classes were:

  • Teaching 101: Captivating Your Captive Audience (aka Planning a Lesson)
  • Teaching 102: Keeping Them Keeping on Coming (and Learning!)
  • Teaching 201: Running an Educational Outreach Program

Notes and audio recordings from a selection of the classes will be available on this page following IAP.

Check back to this page next IAP for a list of classes ESP will be sponsoring then.
