Lunch Activites Tie-dye has been pushed back to July 27. The water fight will now take place on July 20 instead. This means you should bring your money for t-shirts July 27, not July 20.
Late Registration
WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING LATE REGISTRATION STUDENTS
If you still want to register for HSSP, but were not at our first day (June 29), then you must follow the following procedure to register.
1) Look at the [course catalogue] (http://esp.mit.edu/learn/HSSP/2008_Summer/catalog). If you see a class you like, write down the course ID at the beginning of the class name, and e-mail courseID-teachers@esp.mit.edu to ask the teacher for permission to join that class. For example, if you want to take "What Makes A Good Government?", you would send your e-mail to L1447-teachers@esp.mit.edu.
Please don't e-mail any classes that have the "Class Is Full!" marker on them. These classes are already over capacity.
2) If the teacher okays you, forward a copy of this e-mail to summer-hssp-directors@mit.edu
3) Come to the HSSP Office [(Building 4, Rm 1-44)] (http://whereis.mit.edu/map-jpg?selection=4&Buildings=go) a half-hour before your class starts. Bring with you the following:

About HSSP
[View Course Catalog] (http://esp.mit.edu/learn/HSSP/2008_Summer/catalog "Title")
What is HSSP?
HSSP allows students to take eight-week weekend classes taught by MIT students and other members of the MIT community. We offer a wide range of classes for students of a range of ages and interest levels. While we don't yet know what classes will be offered during Summer HSSP 2008, you can get an idea of some the type of classes offered by looking at the classes offered at Spring HSSP 2008 here
When is HSSP?
Summer HSSP 2008 will run on Sundays from June 29, 2008 to August 17, 2008. Two hour classes will be offered at 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM and 90 minute classes will be offered at 1:30 PM. Students will have the option of taking up to three classes, one for each time slot.
From 12:00 - 1:30, there will be a 90 minute lunch break. HSSP will offer lunchtime activities and snacks, but students must bring a lunch, or go to a local resturant. However, we strongly encourage students to participate in lunchtime activities.
Where is HSSP?
HSSP takes place on MIT's main campus. We do not know in which particular classrooms classes will be held yet, but we think most classes will probably be held in Building 4.
Parking: MIT-affiliated people without a permit may park their vehicles in Hayward Lot, N10 Lot, Pacific Lot, Sloan Lot, Windsor Lot and Tang Center Lot (E51) after hours (5:30PM – 7:00AM and on weekends). (http://web.mit.edu/facilities/transportation/parking/locations.html)
How much does it cost?
HSSP will cost $30 if you preregister, and $40 if you register on site. You can pay with your credit card when you sign up, or you can pay on site when you check in. Reimbursements will not be avaliable after the second week. Full financial aid is avaliable upon request.
How do I sign up?
Summer HSSP will be open to students who have completed 7-12 grade.
Registration for Summer HSSP is now closed. However, we encourage you to consider participating in other ESP programs like [Splash] (http://esp.mit.edu/learn/Splash/index.html), which will take place in November, and [Spring HSSP] (http://esp.mit.edu/learn/HSSP/2008_Spring/catalog), which will run in March-May 2009.
