Splash runs one weekend, from 9:00 am - 10:00 pm on Saturday and 9:00 am to 7:00 pm on Sunday, with lunch from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm on both days. Check-in will open at 8:00 am both days. Classes are held on MIT's main campus. Splash costs $30 per student for the entire weekend, regardless of the number of classes taken, and generous financial aid is available. (Food, t-shirts, and photos cost extra.)
Classes can run from one to ten hours, and students can take as many or as few classes as they wish within the bounds of the program. All teachers are MIT students or other community members. Past classes have encompassed a variety of fields, including topics in mathematics, literature, science, arts, sports, and more.
If your student has any physical handicaps or special needs, please inform us ahead of time so we can make suitable arrangements. While we will work to accommodate your student to the best of our ability, our teachers are mostly college students and generally have little experience working with special needs students.
