Morning Check-In
What to do?
- Go to Lobby 13 from 8:30 AM to 11:15 AM on 3/16 ! After 11:15 AM, go through Lobby 13 to our Help Desk.
- Parking around MIT is extremely limited, and there is no parking on campus, so we suggest taking the Red Line to Kendall/MIT if possible.
- We recommend checking in at least 30 minutes before your first class
- When you check in, you will receive your schedule with room numbers.
What you need:
- Payment: if you haven’t paid or requested financial aid, you must either:
- Pay $70 in cash or check (made out to “MIT ESP”)
- Request Financial Aid at our troubleshooting desk
- Student Waiver: Fill out this waiver!
- Without it, you will stand in additional lines, and we’ll have you fill it out day-of.
Campus Access
You can see an interactive map at m.mit.edu or whereis.mit.edu. Please remember that you are a guest of MIT. As part of this, please stay within designated Spark spaces.
You may only enter campus through Lobby 13 and Lobby 10.
Student Lunch:
- Lunch is offered on Saturday and Sunday 12 PM - 2 PM for students only
- You can buy meal tickets at Help Desk in Lobby 10. Price is $10/day.
- Vegetarian, gluten-free, and vegan options will be available
- Off-campus food options are in Kendall Square and along Massachusetts Avenue.
Walk-Ins:
Come hang out in Lobby 13! You don’t need to register in advance for any of these classes; you can just “walk in!”
Class Changes:
Once you check in, go to esp.mit.edu/studentonsite, click schedule in the top left corner, and add some cool new classes!
Help Desk:
We’ll be in Lobby 10 if you need help with anything! You can also call 617-253-4882.
T-Shirts!
- Sales open at 12:30 PM on Saturday at Help Desk. We often sell out early!
- Pre-orders can pick up their shirt from 12:30 PM on Saturday until 1:00 PM on Sunday.
- After 1:00 PM, pre-ordered shirts will be released for sale.

- Follow us at @esp_mit and share your Spark experience on Instagram (and tag a friend!) to get a free MIT ESP sticker at Help Desk!
When not in class:
- You must be either in Lobby 13 (at walk-ins!) or off-campus.
- Check out walk-ins!
- Add a new class!

Then call us at (617) 253-4882 so we’re aware of the emergency.
We suggest enrolling in MIT Alert, which sends text alerts to let you know of an emergency.
Parents:
During the day
They can head to Parents’ Program! See the schedule and information at esp.mit.edu/parentsprogram!
Picking you up
We will not provide information about your location to anyone without an ID matching someone you have indicated on your Schedule Release Form.
