  • 12–1 PM EDT
  • 1–2 PM EDT
  • 2–3 PM EDT

  • 4–5 PM EDT
  • 12–1:30 PM EDT
  • 1:30–3 PM EDT
  • 3–4:30 PM EDT
Your child may attend any combination of class times. This will not affect the cost of the program.

Students from rising seventh graders to recently graduated twelfth graders are eligible. Absolutely no exceptions can be made to this policy. HSSP has a wide variety of classes, and we encourage students of all interests and levels to participate.

International students are allowed to register for this program. When you register an account, please choose either Canada or UK if that applies to you, or if not, choose MA. If your address does not have a five-digit zip code, please enter 02139 when you register an account. Finally, if your phone number is not ten digits, please put 000-000-0000.

Special needs students are welcome at HSSP! If your child will need special accommodations, please see here.

## Costs Summer HSSP will cost $40, regardless of how many classes are taken. We are only be able to accept payment online through credit card. The deadline for payment is 11:59 PM EDT on July 6.

Very generous need-based financial aid is available. You will see the request form when you register. If your family would have any problems paying for HSSP, we strongly encourage you to apply for financial aid. The deadline to request financial aid is 11:59 PM EDT on July 3.

If you are dissatisfied or cannot attend the program, you may obtain a full refund by the third week of HSSP. We do not offer any refunds past the third week.

Students: the most important information you need for attending is in the student guide, which has been sent to your email. It has information about how to join your classes, where to ask for help, and important links. Please bookmark or save the guide in some way.

You will be joining your classes through Zoom. The links to join your class will be emailed to you on July 9, with the subject "Summer HSSP Zoom Links". For your teacher to let you into the class, your display name on Zoom must be the same as your name on the website. If you have a Zoom account, you will need to change your name on your account. Instructions for how to do this are in the student guide.

Please email us if you have any questions.

It is important that you try to attend all 6 weeks. Space is limited in our program and we anticipate being oversubscribed. If you cannot attend all 6 weeks, please keep in mind that you are taking the spot of someone else who would be able to fully attend the program. In addition, many of the courses will build upon previous material, and so missing a week will put you behind. You must show up on the first day of classes; if you cannot show up to the first day of classes you must contact us or risk losing your spot.

After the lottery closes and you receive your schedule let us know if you plan to miss a week. If you plan to miss a week, you should fill out the Class Absence Form.

Registration for Summer HSSP has now closed.

HSSP has a wide variety of classes that vary from semester to semester. Our teachers are volunteers, so they may or may not teach a particular class again. You can find the Summer HSSP 2020 class catalog here.

If you do not like a class you received, we will send you an email about how to add classes after the first week of the program. After that, we will not allow any class changes or new registrations.

Contact Us

If you urgently need to contact us during the program, you can call us at 617-253-4882. At all other times or for less urgent queries, please send us an email.

Email is the main way that HSSP coordinators and teachers communicate with students. Unfortunately, sometimes our emails are marked as spam, and don't go through. If you don't get a confirmation email, you should try the following:

  1. Check what email address your ESP account is configured for. Sometimes, people mistype their email address, or type in their parents' email instead of their own. You can check here.

  2. Check that the email was not caught in a spam folder.

  3. If you still can't find the email, email us individually, and we'll send you a confirmation email. Also, make an allowed source.

  4. Performing step 3 will not guarantee that you get all of our emails — our emails keep getting caught in spam filters, and there is very little we can do about it. You should check this page on the website regularly to make sure you're up to date. We will announce sent emails on the website. Also, email us to let us know that you're not receiving our emails, so we can see if there is anything we can do about this.
