About Teacher Lab

If you're new to teaching, or want to hone a particular set of teaching skills, come to one or all of our Teacher Labs. Each lab set consists of a pair of workshops on Saturday and Sunday designed to help HSSP teachers with an aspect of preparation or practice. (Although non-HSSP teachers are also welcome).

Each of the three labs will cover a different range of topics over a two-day workshop during IAP or early in the spring semester. You can sign up for any subset of the three:

  • 1-2:30pm, January 21st – 22nd: Topic Brainstorming, Course Design and Description
  • 1-2:30pm, February 4th – 5th: Lesson Organization and Project Building
  • 1-2:30pm, February 11th – 12th: Presentation and Engaging Your Audience

Note: If you sign up online for the entire Teacher Lab program, you may delay registration of one or more HSSP courses until after the first workshop, or alter an existing class after attending the first workshop. In this case, make sure to sign up for all three workshops before 1/11/11.
