Brief Biographical Sketch:

Hey, I'm Madeline! I attend Wheelock College with an intended Political Science Major. In high school, I attended Splash for two years and loved every minute. I have been involved in Student Leadership for 7 years now, along with music, slam poetry, and activism. As a leadership trainer this summer my wish for my students was that they "take up space", which is something physically, emotionally, socially, and otherwise we are discouraged from doing as we grow up. This is such a vital skill, in that it is the basic skill of living your life and loving your life and self. So if you're a fan, or want to be a fan, of empowering others and yourself, inappropriately breaking into dance, and doing what terrifies you, hang out with me!

After growing up feeling like the odd noodle out, I have faced the highest of highs and lowest of lows when it comes to the subjects of self-love and confidence. This is a course on raising your voice, risk-taking, dancing like everyone is dancing with you, and making the most of the emotional, physical, social, and all other spaces you have.
