Brief Biographical Sketch:

Hi there! My name is Gabe, and I'm a junior at Stonehill College in Easton, MA, studying Physics and Mechanical Engineering as part of a transfer program with the University of Notre Dame.
I went to MIT Splash and HSSP for all of high school and absolutely loved the program, and am so glad to be participating again as a teacher!

Starting hundreds of years ago, scientists began to understand the properties and behavior of light, developing ways to produce and transmit it. Today we use photonics everywhere, with fiber optics encircling the globe and lasers beaming out into space. Come join us in uncovering the history of humanity’s relationship with light, the multitude of ways it is currently used in our daily lives, and the amazing innovations it holds for computing, nuclear fusion, and more!
