Brief Biographical Sketch:

I first came to Boston for my first try at college (MIT in the 70s); it was not a academic success because I had a much greater need to learn to be a human being than to learn to be an engineer, but I learned many valuable life lessons during my time at the Institute. In the subsequent years I've done all sorts of stuff with computers, discovered virtual worlds, learned to dance, found the SCA, and too many other things to list.

I got my first ham radio license in June 1970. It arrived just after junior high ended so I never got to operate the station there. But the high school had a better one!
