Music Theory
Teachers:
Yalu Wu
Have you realized that you know how to play an instrument but don't know any theory? Can you read music but can't really explain it? Then take Music Theory!
We will cover the fundamental points of Music Theory - Keys, Major and Minor Scales, Maj/min Aug/dim Triads, all the Seventh Chords, and Modes/Degrees. In addition, we will also talk a little about the different periods of music, the solfege system, differing types of trills, what the different between an alto and a soprano is and where they sit, and anything else you are curious about!
It'll be fun! I'll try to make each class as diverse and exciting as possible. We'll also explore different instruments and take a trip to the piano lab!
