Since its founding in 1988, Splash has become MIT’s largest annual teaching and learning extravaganza. For one awesome weekend every year, thousands of middle and high schoolers will flood campus to take classes, taught by MIT students, on anything and everything. Come be a part of this iconic MIT event!
Splash is fully student-run by MIT ESP.
From superhero psychology to digital forensics to philosophy, Splash offerings number over 150 and span a wide variety of areas. Want to take a class on music production? Cosmology? Rocket engines? All of these options may be open to you!
High school students in grades 9–12 can attend Splash. Unfortunately, absolutely no exceptions can be made to this policy, but there will be a separate program for middle school students in the spring!
Check out the class catalog from our last Splash to see the wide variety of classes we offer!
Splash Fall 2025 will take place in person on November 22–23. The program fee is $70, but we offer generous financial aid for students who request it. For more information, check out our program details page from our most recent Splash.
