Delve: ESP’s Advanced Placement (AP) ProgramWhat is Delve?Delve is one of ESP’s most intense programs, providing students with the opportunity to take classes culminating in Advanced Placement exams offered by The College Board. This allows students to take AP classes that are not offered by their high school. This year, Delve will be run by Lu Chen (‘08) and Sarah Han (‘10). You can contact the directors with [the contact form][1]. When and where is Delve?Delve meets on the MIT campus on Sundays from 1:30 - 5:00 p.m. Delve 06-07 runs for approximately 30 Sundays, starting on Sept. 15, 2007 and running until the AP test in early May. Classes meet every Sunday except Thanksgiving and winter break. Can I teach for Delve?Of course! Please be aware that EVERY CLASS MUST HAVE TWO TEACHERS!! You cannot teach alone. If you don’t sign up with a friend, ESP can try to find you a coteacher, but there is no guarantee. As part of your application, we ask for a recommendation from an associate who knows you well, answering the following question: *What qualities do this person possess that qualifies him or her to be responsible for the demands of teaching an AP curriculum? Please have the recommendation sent to delve@mit.edu or left in the ESP Office Mailbox (W20-467). Thanks. You will be contacted for an interview after all applications have been received.
