The information we collect through our site registration process is used to run programs conducted by the MIT Educational Studies Program ("ESP"). Additionally, it is used to improve our programs and to improve the content of our Web page and to contact users about ESP programs.

We may share or publish anonymous information (such as data from surveys) and anonymized aggregate information (such as class attendance totals, records of registration rates, and other statistics), for purposes of advertising and improving ESP programs. We will never share information that could be used to identify a particular person (including their e-mail address, mailing address, or phone number) without their consent. We will never sell, rent, or otherwise exchange for money or services such personally identifiable information.

We may release information to a family member of a user (such as the parent of a student). As a student group at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology ("MIT"), we are obliged to follow all rules and requirements set down by MIT, including providing stored private information to MIT should we be required to do so.

In case of emergency (including but not limited to medical emergencies), we will release all necessary information to any authorities who require it (such as police or medical professionals).

We do not store credit-card numbers or other specific information on our servers. We will never disclose credit card information because we do not have it. Our credit-card payment system is provided through CyberSource, a third-party eCommerce company that complies with all federal regulations regarding credit-card transactions. The CyberSource privacy policy can be found at http://www.cybersource.com/privacy.php.

From time to time, we may use user information for new, unanticipated uses not yet listed in our privacy notice. We will post the policy changes to our Web site to notify you of these changes. Policy changes will also be announced via e-mail; please register an account on our website if you would like to receive updates via email. If we implement a new privacy policy that is outside the spirit of the current policy, all data gathered under the previous policy will continue to be governed by the previous policy.
