The teacher application for Cascade 2019 has now been closed.

Program Vitals

What? Cascade is aimed at local Boston and Cambridge ninth and tenth-grade students. We recruit students from greater Boston-area schools and community centers, many of whom lack access to certain educational opportunities.
Why? As with other MIT ESP programs, Cascade aims to instill a love of learning in our students and expose them to topics they might not encounter outside of a traditional classroom. Furthermore, we also hope to build a supportive community and expose Cascade students to experiences that will have a positive impact on their life trajectories. Please note that all our teachers are volunteers and we don't provide monetary compensation, although we do provide lunch, t-shirts and good time!
When? Saturdays 10:30 AM - 3 PM from Oct. 5 through Nov. 2. Morning classes last from 10:30-12, and afternoon classes last from 1-2.
Who? You, of course!
Where? All classes will be held on MIT's campus.
How? Apply to teach for Cascade. Hands-on activities, discussions, problem-solving, and other forms of interactive learning are essential to the classes. We welcome classes on all academic subjects, ranging from the sciences to the humanities.
