This course will address historical and contemporary issues broadly related to "health." Each class will focus on one topic, and conversations will be prompted by watching a documentary or reading a short text. Topics include the history of eugenics in the United States, regulation of toxicities, the development and use of pharmaceuticals, healthcare systems, and reproduction debates.
