Brief Biographical Sketch:

Howdy! I'm a Junior here at MIT in mechanical engineering, and (hopefully!) minoring in history. I'm a big fan of history, gaming, and arts & crafts, so I love finding ways that these things can intersect. Outside of MIT I spend a lot of time gaming, and can be found on youtube (Jacob Rodriguez) and twitch (Jrodbazinga). I'm also an avid member of the MIT chapter of Beta Theta Pi.

H15299: How To Tackle AP World in Splash 2022 (Nov. 19 - 20, 2022)
Is history a bore? Do you hate the stress of all the prep for the Ap tests? Why is it so complicated to teach world history. The trick is, it isnt that hard at all! In this course I (A Minor in history at MIT) Will walk you through how I aced my World History AP test many many years ago, without needing to cram or waste time with buying study materials. In this course, I'll walk you through a bit of history, but I'll focus on ideas of world history, methods to remember and understand world history courses, and materials to help you get prepped super easy. The class is gonna be chill as well, so if you're just curious on how to study history with some fun resources, by all means show up. If you're unsure about history, or you feel you haven't gotten a good shake with your past history teachers, also pull up.

H14692: The Napoleonic Wars: How and Why? in Splash 2021 (Nov. 20 - 21, 2021)
The Napoleonic Wars was the last time Europe would engage in continent-spanning war until world war 1, roughly a century later. In this class we'll discuss the motives and methods to these series of conflicts, taking into account tactics, events, art, uniforms, and narratives in a more casual setup than a typical college class, with some time set aside for questions as well.
