Brief Biographical Sketch:
Shayna primarily likes making things, and making things look cool. Informally a lightsaber duelist for years, now a member of Boston Lightsaber Stage Combat Club. Likes: 3D printing, open source robotics, graphic design, photography, vlogging, tending to a herd of succulents, and overall just making cool stuff that lights up or does things. Discover the “lost art” of making lace by hand. We will review several techniques of historical and contemporary lacemaking, then learn (hands-on) how to make a type of lace called tatting lace.
