Brief Biographical Sketch:

charu is a junior at harvard studying cs and stats. in school, she is currently pursuing several threads of ml research including 1) creating a pipeline to facilitate interpretable topic modeling, 2) investigating the efficacy of gradient inversion attacks on federated learning in the medical setting and 3) investigating the connection between gradient-based feature attribution methods and chain of thought explanations for large language models. charu is also a teaching assistant for harvard's introduction to probability class in the fall and introduction to machine learning class in the spring. outside of academics, she is the co-president of harvard deepam - the south indian classical dance group and does several performances a year. charu is really excited to meet and learn alot from all of the students in hssp!
