Brief Biographical Sketch:

My name is Anna and I'm from Spain. I went to a small high school in a city called Zaragoza (you should visit if you ever happen to be in Spain!) and I am currently a freshman at MIT.

I tutored a high school student in math last year but I have never taught an art class! The thing is, I love to paint; I've been painting with oils for about 6 years and before that I painted with pastel and watercolor.

During my high school years I also studied German and took part in aerobics classes, but I always felt like painting was extremely relaxing, rewarding and fun - so it would be awesome to share that with other high school students :)

A2958: Drawing with Charcoal - and actually making it look professional! in Splash! 2009 (Nov. 21 - 22, 2009)
Come make a really big charcoal drawing!! Learn how to give it awesome shading - maybe come draw a really big black and white closeup of a flower/ skyline... (flowers look AWESOME from a close distance.. but that's just me) I'll bring models to copy but feel free to bring your own! We'll run through the basics of charcoal and I'll help out anyone who wants a hand. (We'll also do something to keep those gorgeous pictures from smudging so you can take them home and show them off!)
