Brief Biographical Sketch:
Gayatri is a seasoned leader with two decades of experience in high-tech, finance, and consulting. Currently as Director of Product Development at Dell Technologies, she heads multiple products from inception to intervention. Gayatri values vision and execution while working through startups and Fortune 500 companies alike. Having graduated from MIT Sloan with an Executive MBA, Gayatri is advising multiple startups at the digital juxtaposition. A firm believer in giving back, she is an active member of various communities: as an alum at MIT, and on the executive committee of the PTO in her town. She abodes with her family in Newton, MA. The course will start with digging deeper into how Internet actually works with the intent of exposing the complexity of the simply put "network of computers". Tackling the data explosion witnessed in the last decade next, the course will introduce Cloud Computing and Data Analytics. We will then cover the world of automation by introductions to Machine Learning, Deep Learning and AI. Crypto Currency is another stream that may see its prime time in the coming decade, along with its underlying technology Blockchain. We will conclude the course by looking at Cybersecurity as a stream in Software Engineering world.
