This course aims to illustrate how a sport such as Soccer can be used to explore and understand a range of other important concepts in politics, economics, and society. Soccer will be used to discuss nationalism, globalization, and racism. An important question that will be addressed: Why is soccer so much more popular in other parts of the world than in the U.S.?
