The National Institute of Health (NIH) has developed a Media Smart Youth program for community leaders to help children become more aware of their nutrition and physical activity choices. I will use the program materials designed by NIH to teach healthy eating and exercising habits in a fun yet informational manner. Get ready for some jumping jacks and learning about carbs. The National Institute of Health (NIH) Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) has developed a Media Smart Youth program for community leaders to help children Become aware of—and think critically about—media's role in influencing their nutrition and physical activity choices. Build skills that help them make informed decisions about being physically active and eating nutritious food in daily life. Establish healthy habits that will last into adulthood. Learn about media and create their own media products to educate their peers. I am hoping to use the program materials designed by NIH to spread the Media Smart Youth program to students.
