HAMSA SRIDHAR, Harvard junior studying Physics & Mathematics
Major: Physics and Mathematics College/Employer: Harvard Year of Graduation: 2012

Brief Biographical Sketch:
I'm basically a physicist who enjoys some theoretical math but let's not go overboard :). Past Classes(Clicking a class title will bring you to the course's section of the corresponding course catalog)M4788: Problem Solving in HSSP Summer 2011 (Jul. 10, 2011)
This class will extend basic mathematical concepts introduced in high school to a more sophisticated level and apply them to solving problems and puzzles. We will cover probability, combinatorics, geometry, algebra, and number theory. Emphasis will be placed on conceptual understanding and connections between mathematical ideas rather than on computation. These techniques will be useful in high school mathematics competitions as well as in college. All levels of problemsolvers are encouraged to enroll!
M3686: Proofbased Linear Algebra in HSSP Harvard HSSP Fall 2010 (Oct. 02, 2010)
Linear algebra and the theory of finitedimensional vector spaces is key to any student in physics or mathematics. This class will take a proofbased approach to vector spaces, linear maps, inner products, eigenvectors, and eigenvalues. Proof techniques will be taught along the way. Since each class will build on the previous class material, skipping classes is not recommended.
