We will cover the basics of astronomy, from our local Solar System to our own galaxy, the Milky Way, before ending with a discussion of some of the latest endeavors in the field! All levels welcome, will involve minimal math.

Learn about the history of cryptography and how ciphers work, from the Caesar Shift and the Playfair cipher, to the Enigma machine and the ideas behind modern cryptography, as well as the methods to break ciphers. We'll practice a few methods in class to keep your communications secret. All while eating homemade cookies.
