Brief Biographical Sketch:

Hello students,

My name is Ian. I hail from the great state of Texas.

MIT is full of awesome people and awesome opportunities, and I hope to share some of what I have learned here with you.

I have an eclectic array of interests, from origami to juggling to competitive Scrabble.

I am studying materials science and also dabble in math, physics, and geology.

We will teach you how to juggle and much more! This is the perfect class if you want to learn how to juggle or if you want to sharpen your skills. We have talented jugglers on hand and more things to throw in the air than you can wrap your head around.

In this course we will cover strategies to improve your Scrabble game (and perhaps crush your opponents at Words With Friends). You'll learn about rack balance, board vision, when or when not to use the S or blank, finding bingos, probability, leave valuation, tile tracking, and endgame strategy.
