What are fractals? Fractals are some of the most beautiful things that occur in nature. They are defined as "a rough or fragmented geometric shape that can be split into parts, each of which is (at least approximately) a reduced-size copy of the whole." Some real world examples: snowflakes, blood vessels, broccoli, river networks and lightning. We're going to take a look stunning examples of fractals found in nature and math. After that, you'll be able to design, draw, and color fractals of your own to take home!
