We will have an ambulance tour and teach some basic first aid including how to apply a tourniquet. We will also have our Flycar-think of a police car- around for you to see. If you have ever had any questions about Emergency Medical Services or been curious about what goes on in the first response world, this is the activity for you!

MIT EMS is a Massachusetts licensed basic life support (BLS) ambulance serving the MIT community. We operate a transporting ambulance and offer a biannual EMT-B training course. We are entirely student-run and operate on a volunteer basis under the authority of the Massachusetts Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS). In this course, the MIT EMS Equipment Officers will discuss equipment, common call types, and the structure of our service. We will also provide a tour of the bunk room, ambulance bay, and the ambulance.
