What messages do you hear about how you can or should move — whether sitting, fidgeting, singing, or anything in between? Can movement be a form of creative expression? Are technologies (like Zoom) designed with our physical bodies in mind? We’ll explore different ways movement relates to our lives through discussions, short readings/videos, and follow-along stretches/exercises you can do anywhere.

Here's three puzzles: 1. I want to find the average age of everyone in a room. But no one wants to tell anyone else their age. Can we still find the average? 2. There's a magic door that opens when you say the password. I want to show you that I know the password, but I don't want to tell you what the password is. Can I still prove to you that I know the password? 3. We're talking over the phone and want to flip a coin. But if I flip the coin and tell you the result, you might not believe me. And if you flip the coin, I might not believe you. Can we still do a fair coin flip? Come learn about cryptography, the amazing science that helps us do seemingly impossible tasks.

We'll get you started with the basics of HTML and CSS—the programming languages of the web—and you define the rest. Make a website (a real website, on the Internet, with a URL!!) for yourself, your dog, your mom, your business, your favorite meme, or anything in between! This will be a hands-on, creative class. What you build is up to you, and we'll have several co-teachers to troubleshoot any errors, help you brainstorm ideas, and turn you into an HTML/CSS master once you start getting the hang of it! :D
