Brief Biographical Sketch:

Kat Dutton is a 26 year old mathematician and dancer, looking for a respectable job as a high school or middle school teacher. Raised by gamers and geeks, Kat has always had an appreciation for the stranger things in life, and enjoys playing with new concepts, especially to do with mathematics, origami, words, or dance.

The Cross-Step waltz is an elegant and modern form of waltzing! Come learn the basic step and a few variations in this beginner friendly class. This is a social dance class. Please wear comfortable clothes, and shoes (or bare feet) you can dance in.

X6279: Let's Make Marshmallow Blowguns! in Splash! 2012 (Nov. 17 - 18, 2012)
Ah, the miniature marshmallow. Good for hot cocoa, for tiny s'mores, and of course, for launching at your friends as hard as possible through a blowgun. Come to this session to create your own harmless blowgun and maybe even get in a little bit of...target practice.


X5244: Basic Cross-Step Waltz in Splash! 2011 (Nov. 19 - 20, 2011)
This is a quick introduction to the cross-step waltz, a relatively modern dance form. Students will be taught the basic step, the turning step, and a few variations/"special moves" as time permits. Partners are not required, and everyone will be encouraged to dance with everyone else.
