Malu Lima is an aspiring environmental scientist from Recife, Brazil. She has conducted research on sustainable energy and water treatment, co-authoring peer-reviewed papers and contributing to patented innovations in graphene-based filtration. She serves as a Wellesley EnAct E-board member, mentors the Latin American Leadership Academy network, and advocates for equity in education and climate action. With a focus on bridging public policy and research toward climate action, Maria Lucia seeks to integrate her passions for science, cultural engagement, and community impact to develop practical solutions for a more sustainable future.
