Brief Biographical Sketch:

I am a first-year Biological Engineering student at MIT currently developing microscopy-based instrumentation to measure phytoplankton motility using PDMS microfluidic devices in the Manalis Lab at the Koch Institute. My research interests center on bioinstrumentation and tissue engineering applications. My prior research experience includes engineering cardiac tissue models to study hypertrophic cardiomyopathy at Boston University's Biological Design Center, developing machine learning pipeline the Air Force Research Laboratory, and investigating proteomics and genomics at UNCW. This interdisciplinary background spanning biomedical engineering, synthetic biology, and bioinstrumentation has prepared me to tackle complex biological problems through integrated approaches. I am particularly interested in developing novel measurement techniques and engineered systems to understand cellular behavior and disease mechanisms.

In my free time I enjoy reading and writing science fiction, painting, and running.
