Brief Biographical Sketch:

I'm currently studying Biology at MIT, but I also have a passion for the Arts and writing. Before coming to MIT, I trained in New York City as a pre-professional ballet dancer, so ballet has been a huge part of most of my life. I love all of the Arts, and I'm also passionate about writing and teaching. I've been tutoring since 9th grade, and writing for as long as I can remember! I love sharing my passions with others, and I want them to see the joys I see when I'm teaching.

H7235: A Thousand Words - Writing from Scratch in HSSP Summer 2013 (Jul. 07, 2013)
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but what about dance, sculptures, and music? We'll put it to the test by taking different forms of art, from photography to pantomime to artwork, and we'll discover the joy of writing, of creating our own stories as we let our imaginations run! Writing is one of many essential skills in life (especially in academics), but writing doesn't always have to be work! Whether you love or hate writing, or if you just want to have fun and be creative, then this is the class for you! We'll discuss the aspects of creative writing as we explore different ways to find your "thousand words". (You don't have to write a thousand words, but you may find that it's easier than you expected!)
