Brief Biographical Sketch:
Nathanael is a PhD student in the Aerospace Plasma Group. With the help of supercomputers, he is developing computational models for aircraft lightning strikes to improve lightning protection for next-generation aircraft. Nat grew up in the UK, studied at Imperial College London, and moved to MIT a few years ago. Outside of studying, Nat helps run the MIT Outing Club and loves leading beginner-friendly trips in the mountains (hiking) and on the water (paddle-boarding).
