P7576: Movies vs Television in Splash! 2013 (Nov. 23 - 24, 2013)
In the 21st century, especially the past few years, television has emerged as the most popular forum to tell adult stories, arguably surpassing movies in both quality and viewership. This class will investigate how and why this has come about and the specific qualities that are unique to film and tv in the 21st century.

A6383: War in Film in Splash! 2012 (Nov. 17 - 18, 2012)
Everyone likes movies; no one likes war. So why combine the two? Because war is a basic part of the human condition and film, more than any other medium, allows us to explore the human condition. The films shown in this course will explore the effect of war on its participants through a variety of perspectives from multiple conflicts.
