Brief Biographical Sketch:

Hi my name is Nate Woodward! I’m from North Carolina and will be studying physics and mathematics at MIT. I am interested in theoretical and mathematical physics and have previously worked on projects in gravitational lensing as well as passive radar and digital signal processing. I love philosophy and it’s really the only thing I read! Some of my favorite books have been Existentialism is a Humanism by Jean-Paul Sarte, The Dialectic of Enlightenment by M. Horkheimer and T.W. Adorno, and The Second Sex by Simone De Beauvoir. I’m currently reading The Art of Love by Erich Fromm. Outside of academics, I’ve played guitar for fifteen years and love to play classical covers and really enjoy learning new languages! I’ve studied Spanish for several years and just started French! I also love weightlifting and bodybuilding and have been training for almost four years!
