Brief Biographical Sketch:

Hi, my name is Pachara or you can call me Akin. I am originally from Bangkok, Thailand and I'm currently living in Boston.

I am senior at MIT studying math and computer science. My primary field of study is Theoretical Computer Science (like how to design an algorithm that runs as fast and uses as least memory as possible.) In particular, my focus is towards what we call Randomized Algorithms, which is basically the way to introduce some randomness to deterministic problems.

Apart from academics, I often spend my free time playing soccer (been playing since 4!) I also love traveling, and mountain activities like hiking or skiing.

M14291: Quick Introduction to Graph Theory in Splash 2020 (Nov. 14 - 15, 2020)
Have you ever wondered how Google Maps determines the fast route? How Expedia finds the cheapest flights? How Facebook makes friend suggestion? How to solve mazes without guessing? Or even how robots avoid obstacles? If you can resonate with any of these questions, this class is for you! In this class, you will learn about the basic Graph Theory, which is a major field in the intersection of math and computer science. You will learn what a graph is and how to build one. You will learn some basic search algorithms and essentially how to use it to solve some real-life problems! In short, this class will give you a quick introduction to Graph Theory along with some applications that you can really use in daily life. No technical prerequisite is required -- just come and have fun!
