Brief Biographical Sketch:

Hi! I'm Philip and I've been lucky enough to teach math at my undergraduate school in Canada (where I'm from) and have also assisted with a course on water rockets and simple airplane construction at MIT. I currently study how we can improve aircraft simulations by better capturing the fluid physics and geometry. To do this, I write computer programs and a lot of the same techniques are used in programming games and animations.

C11711: Let's make a video game! (2048) in Splash 2017 (Nov. 18 - 19, 2017)
Did you win at 2048? Well now let's try to program it! You will be given some initial Javascript/HTML code and we will work together, building the programming concepts and filling in the rest of the code so you can have your very own version of 2048! The learning outcomes involve developing some simple programming concepts while picking up some Javascript/HTML along the way.
