Brief Biographical Sketch:

Lynn Yi is a junior at Harvard College concentrating in physics and mathematics. She came from Queens, NYC, where she attended Hunter College High School, took advantage of the various sources of food and music, and got lost in the MET and Central Park. In addition to teaching for ESP, she sings in The Harvard College Madrigal Singers. Outside the Harvard community, she is a proud member of the I-Help-Liberia Project, a non-profit organization based in New York City that seeks to further scientific education in post-war Liberia. As a mystery fanatic, she spends numerous hours watching House and Castle.

S3152: Classical Mechanics in HSSP Harvard HSSP Spring 2010 (Feb. 06, 2010)
This class is an introduction to classical mechanics and special relativity. We will cover AP Physics C Mechanics material and will go one step beyond in difficulty of problems. Emphasis will be given to problem solving as a method to learn and understand the concepts; there will be in-class problem solving each week. I will give a quick review of basic calculus for those who have not taken a calculus class. Some cool demonstrations may be involved. It is very important to keep up with the material every week. Expect it to be challenging and fast-paced, but fun.
