Brief Biographical Sketch:

I really like to make things, whether it's CADing, designing circuits, or machining. I spend a lot of my time helping build a racecar with the MIT formula SAE team. I'm also in the the society of women engineers. My hobbies are running and climbing.

S12286: Engineering Inventions in HSSP Summer 2018 (Jun. 30, 2018)
Ever wanted to invent something? Now's your chance! I'll guide you through the invention process to brainstorm and design your own product. Learn about patents, 3D printing, and mechanical engineering. On the last day, you'll present your invention to the class. Note: you will be expected to work on your invention outside of class time. Expect 1-3 hours a week of "homework," but it will be fun!

Ever had an idea for something cool, but didn't know how to bring it to life? Or maybe you're an officer of a club and want to make your role as meaningful as possible? Learn how to start new clubs/programs/initiatives, improve existing organizations, and be an effective leader. Topics include getting an idea off the ground, servant leadership and other leadership strategies, how to work with frustrating people, and effective communication. Class is taught by someone who in high school founded 2 clubs, was president of 3, and officer of many more.
