Brief Biographical Sketch:
My name is Sabina Khan, and I will be a Senior at MIT this year majoring in Biology. Biology has always been my passion. I have always been fascinated by how intricate and complex our bodies are and how all the factors that surround us, both in our environment and in our selves, affect us. But I do other things besides school. I love to hang out with friends, watch movies, eat good food, etc. But most of all I love to read. I read anything I get my hands on, but mostly fiction. I write a bit too, just to see how far my imagination goes. This is my 3rd year teaching for DELVE and I am really excited to meet everyone. Hopefully by the end of the year all of you will be just as enthusiastic about works such as Hamlet as I am! The Advanced Placement Program describes the course as engaging "students in the careful reading and critical analysis of imaginative literature.”
With this in mind, students will learn, through close reading various pieces of literature, how a writer uses the language of a piece to both entertain and inform the reader. The course will be divided up into multiple sections, each dedicated to a different phase of literature, from Classical to European literature.
