Brief Biographical Sketch:

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away . . .

STAR WARS

Episode IV: The Hopers

It is a dark time for fans. George Lucas has begun
work on a new set of revisions even more awful
first dreaded Special Editions. When completed, these
revisionist pieces of trash will spell certain doom for
the small band of conservatives trying to restore
respect and tradition to the galaxy.

Luckily, these rebels have won their first victory against
Lucas. The fact that Han Shot First is now so widely
acknowledged that George Lucas has sent his most
sinister fanboys in pursuit of Steve White.

Evading their starfleet, a small group of fighters have
established a base on the socially remote campus of MIT.
They need your help, you are their only hope of
preventing more retards from refering to "Star Wars"
as "A New Hope" and celebrating the Super Special Edition. . . .

(I HATE it when people say "A New Hope." It's like calling Halo "Combat Evolved.")

X2732: International Development and Appropriate Technologies in Splash! 2009 (Nov. 21 - 22, 2009)
Have you ever wondered why some areas of the world seem so much poorer than others? Did you know that every 3.6 seconds, someone dies of starvation? Did you know that 1.4 billion people currently live on less than $1.25 a day and are defined as living in extreme poverty? International development is the concept that the standard of life for the human population can be improved on a global scale. This class will teach what the concept of international development is and how ordinary people can make a big difference, not just through traditional charity like donations but through innovative engineering, education, policy changing, and other exciting projects.
