Brief Biographical Sketch:

Tina Quick, author of The Global Nomad’s Guide to University Transition is a cross-cultural trainer, writer and international speaker. She is currently writing a book to help foreign students transition to the U.S. for high school and/or college. She is a well-seasoned traveler and mother of three young adult daughters. She is an adult Third Culture Kid (ATCK) and has raised her own TCKs across four cultures and continents. She has served as Program Chair on the Board of Directors of Families in Global Transition (FIGT). She is a member of the Advisory Board for TCKid. She is a member of the Overseas Association of College Admissions Counseling. Tina works closely with colleges and universities, domestic and international schools.

Have you been exposed to two or more cultural traditions during your childhood years? If so, this class is for you or someone you know! There is actual language for the lifestyle you've been living whether you have spent time outside your passport country or cross cultures on a daily basis just by leaving your house to go to school each day. We will be talking about how you have been shaped by your experiences and the gifts as well as the challenges of this cross-cultural, mobile lifestyle. Lastly we will look at how you can use your experiences to launch yourselves as you go on to work and study in today's increasingly globalized world.
