C10803: To The Moon! in Splash 2016 (Nov. 19 - 20, 2016)
Ever wondered how the Apollo missions got to the moon? Does "weaving 2 cubic feat of memory" strike fear into your heart? How about "Program Error 1202"? We'll discuss some of the hardware and software (and how the two interacted) of the Apollo Guidance Computer, and then play with a simulation!


M9208: Hexaflexagons, Fractals, and Markov Chains in Spark 2015 (Mar. 14 - 15, 2015)
In this course, students will fold hexaflexagons out of paper, model transitions between different levels of a Cantor dust fractal, and learn about Markov chains, a mathematical tool that connects them.

Learn to make 2D and 3D hexaflexagons and various other folded paper crafts, all of which can flip from one state to another.
