CPR is a tremendously powerful intervention for victims of cardiac arrest, the sudden loss of heart function that claims the lives of 475,000 Americans every year. Bystander CPR is an easily learned skill, and its immediate application in an emergency can double a victim’s chance of survival.
The number one cause of preventable death after injury is bleeding. Learning how to stop the bleed is simple and very useful knowledge.
Instructed by members of MIT EMS, the volunteer ambulance service at MIT, we will be teaching the essentials of hands-only CPR, Stop the Bleed, as well as how to recognize a stroke. Stop by and learn a skill that could save someone’s life!
