Cascade Medical FAQ

Insurance Requirement

All ESP students must have health insurance valid in Massachusetts so that they may receive medical care in the unlikely event that they need it during an ESP program. This means that your insurance will cover health care costs at Massachusetts facilities in the unlikely event that medical care is necessary during Cascade.

If you have questions about your particular situation, email cascade-medical@mit.edu.

How ESP uses the information

Most of the time, we don't.

We don't look at the information you entered unless we need to. (For example, if you get injured at an ESP program, we might look up your file and give a copy to the paramedics.)

We do not read through to learn about students who have allergies and other needs! If you need special accommodations, email cascade-medical@mit.edu.

Use of Private Information

The information you submit will be provided to medical professionals in case of an emergency. Select ESP officers will review some information in advance. We respect your privacy.

All information you provide will be destroyed within 48 hours of the end of the program.
