Brief Biographical Sketch:

I grew up in the middle of nowhere, upstate New York. I love to travel, and have studied and worked abroad in England and Japan. I like computer science, romantic poetry, baking, math, stage managing and a number of other fairly unrelated things.

A4807: Stagecraft: Performance in HSSP Summer 2011 (Jul. 10, 2011)
The final meeting of this class will be a performance. Preceding classes will be spent rehearsing. Students will work in small groups. Each group will work a with Stagecraft: Technical Theater group to put on a complete productions of a 5-10 page scene. The Stagecraft: Performance students will be the actors and (if interested) directors.


X3889: Life is Short -- Eat Dessert First in Splash! 2010 (Nov. 20 - 21, 2010)
With some good rules of thumb, and some science, you don't really need to pay attention to the recipe. In this class, we'll talk about the point of basic cake ingredients, and then make cakes from scratch without recipes.


X2409: Stage Managing - An Introduction to Controlling Theatrical Magic in HSSP Summer 2009 (Jul. 12, 2009)
This course is intended for nascent stage managers and anyone else with a theatrical bent. We aim to give a good overview of all aspects of technical theater, as a stage manager's job is to understand and be able to work with all aspects of a production. Each session or two will focus on a different aspect of technical theater, including set construction and design, lighting, props, costumes and makeup, among others.
