E15110: Learn to Fly! in Splash 2022 (Nov. 19 - 20, 2022)
Ever wanted to fly a plane? Learn all the controls and advance techniques? I'm a pilot and after a "crash course" on flying, we'll go outside and fly radio-controlled planes! While flying, we'll go over controls, techniques, and laws regarding flying large planes and even how you could get your pilot license.

S14648: How to Make an Airplane Fly in Splash 2021 (Nov. 20 - 21, 2021)
What are those fast loud blinky lights overhead?? Why are they fast? Do they have to be loud? How are they up so high? Come find out how airplanes fly, how to build one, and compete to win a drone!

X14027: The Art of Cryptography in HSSP Summer 2020 (Jul. 11, 2020)
Have you ever wanted to send secret messages without being detected? Have you ever wondered how the internet is able to keep your private information safe? Join us in this class to learn all about the wonders of cryptography. This class requires no background knowledge––we will teach you everything you need to know with plenty of fun activities and prizes! This class will cover the history of cryptography and will teach you basic methods of encrypting information. We will cover mono and polyalphabetic substitution ciphers, Caesar ciphers, and other modes of encryption. We will also talk about applications of cryptography to current topics in computer science and information technology, discussing internet safety, RSA encryption, and quantum computing.

X13823: Code Busters in Spark 2020 (Mar. 14 - 15, 2020)
Have you ever wanted to pass secret messages? Ever wanted to intercept them? Come find out how to encode and decode messages for a chance to win prizes!

E13720: Design / Build / Fly in HSSP Spring 2020 (Feb. 29, 2020)
PLANES! What are they? How do they work? What is a thermodynamic? Can a schmuck like me make one? Of course! Join us as we design and build radio controlled airplanes!

E12815: Design / Build / Fly in Spark 2019 (Mar. 16 - 17, 2019)
PLANES What are they? How do they work? Can a novice like you make one? Of course! Join us as we make and race multiple styles of balsa gliders to learn about plane design!

E12341: Design / Build / Fly in Splash 2018 (Nov. 17 - 18, 2018)
PLANES! What are they? How do they work? Can a schmuck like me make one? Of course! Join us as we make and race multiple styles of balsa gliders to learn about plane design!

S12291: Design / Build / Fly in HSSP Summer 2018 (Jun. 30, 2018)
PLANES! Why do they fly? How do they do that? What is a "lift?" Can an average Joe like me make a plane? Of course you can! Come learn how planes work and then apply that knowledge to make everything from simple balsa gliders to your own flyable radio controlled plane! Get HYPE!
