Self defense classes typically teach you how to escape from life threatening situations. Sometimes you just want escape from an uncomfortable situation without severely injuring the other person. This class will address both. Based mostly on fundamental teachings of jiujitsu and judo, we'll teach you how to defuse bad situations, shield against attack, escape from grabs and holds, proper falling, and simple strikes and other ways to escape and deter an attacker. Our eventual goal is to teach you that the safest way to win a fight is to prevent it from happening in the first place. Due to safety concerns this class will be STRICTLY NON CONTACT!
