S3740: The Theory of Evolution by Natural Selection in Splash! 2010 (Nov. 20 - 21, 2010)
This class will cover the theory of evolution by natural selection as laid out by Charles Darwin in "The Origin of Species" and the intellectual background in which Darwin formed the theory. We will also cover improvements to the theory since the historic publication, and examine examples of evolutionary forces in action.

H3558: Anarchism 101 in HSSP Summer 2010 (Jul. 11, 2010 - Jul. 11, 2011)
An introduction to Anarchist theory, history, and current practice. This class is for people interested in learning about the Anarchist political system, consensus decision making, and direct action. As well as learning about the many struggles anarchists partake in such as anti-capitalism, anti-racism, radical feminism, both animal and earth liberation, prison abolition and queer liberation.

X3166: Beginner Strength Training in Spark! 2010 (Mar. 13, 2010)
In this course you will learn the basics of strength training: the terms, the anatomy, the nutrition, and of course, how to properly and safely perform the lifts. This is not a bodybuilding class, you won't get 'toned' and you won't be able to pose on stages. What you will get is raw strength that is useful in stressful situations, for improving athletics, for burning fat, and for making day-to-day movement easier. Strength training, combined with good nutrition that will be taught to you in this course, increases physical prowess, mental well-being, and builds solid self confidence. Based on the principles of Mark Rippetoe's "Starting Strength".
