Brief Biographical Sketch:

I'm a sophmore transfer student at Northwestern University majoring in Sociology and Legal Studies with a focus on crime and justice. My research interests include mass incarceration, the revolving door phenomenon of prison recidivism, and the structural and systemic injustices present within the criminal justice system in the United States.

Outside of academics, I'm the president of Women in Law, president of NU Undergraduate SPLASH, co-cultural chair for NU's South Asian Student Association, director of external affairs for NU College Feminists, and member of the Undergraduate Prison Education Program. I also work for Jumpstart as a teacher's assistant for pre-school students, am in charge of new media and marketing for the Chicago Justice Project, and will be a policy intern for Restore Justice Illinois this summer.

I can't wait to meet all of you and pick your brains. Come curious ~
